NEW! Theater Art- Experience first hand how to create and perform with life size art used for theater productions. From acting, singing, dancing, making costume accessories, painting, graphics, and learn much more on how to put together original pieces of art and performances that will entertain the youthful soul with healthy expressions.
Beginners Karate- This class will introduce basic karate etiquette and skills; it will help build physical fitness, mental focus, and self control along with personal responsibility. Stranger and bully issues will be addressed.
NEW Creative Art Zone- Try a new technique of art every week! We will use a variety of materials and methods to create individual projects. This class is geared toward the older child. We will examine negative spaces art and color theory in a variety of mediums.
Cheer/Dance Non competitive students will learn basic cheerleading movements, tumbling, jumps, and stunts. Basic cheers and dance routines will also be incorporated in these classes according to ability level. More experienced tumblers will be encouraged to proceed to the All Star Cheer Team.
All Star Cheerleading Team for 7-18 year olds- High spirited athletes will learn age appropriate choreography in Dance, motions, tumbling, jumps, and stunts incorporated into an exciting routine put to fun and upbeat music. The girls will use their commitment to each other and build trust as a team to work towards a common goal by using cheer as its vehicle. This class will build into a competitive performance squad!
( Floor Tumbling recommended for All Star Cheer to gain more skills needed for competition )
Floor Tumbling I & II For boys and girls that would like to expand their tumbling skills on the floor from cartwheels, rolls, back handsprings to front tucks and mini trampoline skills will also be incorporated. Tumbling II students must be able to perform 1 arm cartwheels, round-offs, handstands, and back bend.
NEW! Story Theater- Children will be introduced to creative movements, kids’ yoga and dance to further explore the story theme of the day and learn to utilize the healthy expressions of emotion and the development of positive personal virtues. Spatial awareness, strength, and flexibility will be incorporated as imaginative ideas are acted out. Individual and group creations will be encouraged in a fun (and often times funny) and loving environment.
NEW! Yoga for Athletes- for Mind and Body to promote optimal health and well being. Students will improve flexibility of joints and muscles, and an increased self-awareness will lead to a calmer sense of state. This class includes poses, breathing techniques, and relaxation. The practice is suitable for all ages & levels.
